Round 6 of the KC Sheds & Garages/Tri-Steel F500 Stampede Series is set to invade Redline Raceway this Saturday night March 13th.
A full field of 20 cars have nominated with the final hit out for some before the Northern Territory and Australian Title’s to be held up in Alice Springs over Easter and the weekend before.
Last weekends rainout of both rounds at Hamilton and Avalon have left the driver feeling fresh and rejuvenated and itching to hit the track again. Defending Series champion Dale Sinclair heads the nominations list and also the points table after 3 completed rounds.
Sinclair won’t have it his own way with last round feature winner Jye O’Keeffe also nominating. O’Keeffe is enjoying a stellar debut season by winning his first feature race last round at Simpson Speedway along with a top 5 finish in the recent ACT Title held at Goulburn Speedway.
Round 1 Winner at Drouin, Chad Sullivan is hoping to regain the form that netted him an overall Top 10 Finish in the Oval Express Series. After missing the second round at Darlington and finishing 5th at Simpson, Sullivan currently finds himself sitting in 8th position on the points table.
A host of young guns will be out to steal the show. They include Round 2 winner “The General” Jack Lee, Jesse Nicolas, Steven Horton, Simon Craven, Liam Williams and Ash Sinclair.
The young guns will have their hands full with the veterans of the sport out to spoil the day. They include Ian Smith, Kevin Freeman and Johnny “Thunder” Pearson driving the Shane Van Duynhoven owned V52.
Drivers are reminded that the new Sign in Deadline is 4pm with Hot laps to start at 5pm. Each car will race in 3, 10 lap heat races and a 20 lap final.
