Harding Racing one two at Perth Motorplex King Of The Wings Round of the AJC Track Championship.
“I really didn’t think I was going to win this,” Daniel Harding said after winning the AJC Professional Coating Services Formula 500s round for the weekend.
He finished on 593 points, just two points better than brother Trevor Harding, with Steven Ellement third on 584.
“We have been working on these cars for a long time, every time we race we find a new improvement.
“It’s been a long journey but we are getting there.”
Brother Trevor was happy with his second.
“Coming second to Daniel on a two-night show is just like winning it anyway,” the second of the Hardings said.
“Steven (track point score leader Steven Ellement) has been putting up a heck of a fight all year.
“We might have just found something that will help take us to the Aussie title.
“It’s fantastic to have both cars up the front.”
Ellement paid credit to the Harding boys but believed he would have enough points in the bank to win the track championship.
“Hopefully we will take out the championship,” Ellement said.
“We went really well at the start of the season and gained a few points then.
“It’s good to be able to back off a bit now and finish all the races.”
