GOULBURN FORMULA 500 CLUB

Goulburn Speedway roars into action again this weekend with a full program in readiness to which promises to be a bonanza nights racing.
Head-lining the action this weekend will be the ever popular Formula 500s and the staging of the 2010 Caradel Hire A.C.T. Title.

Twenty nominations, some of the nation's best, will converge on the quick 400 metre layout with a good spread of experience including Goulburn's Danny Hogan, Viv Bensen and the Burrows brothers Barry and Ian. The Goulburn drivers will be joined by Queensland veteran Michael Pronger, a former QLD champion and two-times national champion and his son Nathan, a driver with a wealth of experience despite his young age.

Pitted against these drivers will be the youth and exuberence of four Victorian young guns including newly crowned South Aust. champ Jack Lee, multiple podium place-getter Liam Williams, Jesse Nicholas and last round Victorian Stampede Series winner Jye O'Keeffe. Joined by the A.C.T. pairing of the Wallace brothers Lee and Scott, two drivers who know the track very well and won't take long to dial their cars in.

The N.S.W. drivers will also be well represented in this years event and are not to be disgarded. Leading their charge will be current NASR Series leader Kenny Norman. Norman is having a tremendous season to date and has finally got his car quick and reliable after a couple of seasons of mechanical gremlins. Fellow club members Matt Hunter and Scott Siemsen will also acquit themselves well despite their limited experience in the Formula 500 division. Scott performed well in last years title event before getting involved in an unfortunate accident brought his night to a premature end.

It promises to be a great nights action. The weather forecast will be favourable and all involved are hoping for a well prepared track as all is in readiness come the drop of the first green flag.
